A deposit of 50% is required to confirm the booking, with
balance due on arrival. We accept Visa, Mastercard or Direct deposit.
Special conditions apply for Christmas & Public Holiday long
weekends, balance of payment is required 30 days prior to arrival. Please note a minimum of 3 nights apply on Public Holiday Long Weekends.
Cancellation
NOTE - MINIMUM BOOKING OF 3 NIGHTS – TRAVEL & STAY WITH PEACE OF MIND, SINCE THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 - WE FOLLOW HEALTH GUIDELINES TO ENSURE BEST POSSIBLE HYGIENE AND SANITATION STANDARDS. THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING. FOR ALL DIRECT BOOKINGS WE GUARANTEE 100% FLEXIBILITY WITH CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING.
Please be aware of the current risk of travel restrictions being imposed due to COVID-19, which may not be covered by travel insurance. If you are unable to travel due solely to COVID-19, we will assist you with moving your booking within 12 months of cancellation. If you instead request a full cancellation, booking funds will be refunded less a 5% cancellation fee.
WE
UNDERSTAND CIRCUMSTANCES CAN CHANGE BUT IN THE EVENT THAT A RESERVATION
IS CANCELLED, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHARGE A CANCELLATION FEE.
Cancellations notified more than 60 days prior to arrival will be entitled to a full refund less $100.00 Administration fee.
Cancellations notified less than 60 days prior to arrival will forfeit all monies paid unless the property is re-booked.
If the property is re-booked, the deposit may be used for a future booking less administration fee. Any changes to a booking, will be charged at full booking rate unless 30 days notice is given prior to arrival. There will be no refunds for bookings cancelled or modified within 30 days of check in date.
No Refund can be given in the event of non-arrival. No Show Policy - 100% of the booking fee will be charged.
Travel Insurance is recommended for all bookings to provide adequate protection against cancellation of travel.
Gift Vouchers - All Gift Vouchers issued by Birks Harbour are valid for 9 months from date of issue. N.B. Gift Vouchers are not refundable or transferable. If the Voucher is expired, please contact us, it is at Birks Harbour discretion for an extension (fee may apply). Unwanted Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash.
Strict Policy - Boathouse - Birks River Retreat maintains a strict policy with no unauthorized parties, group gatherings or functions are strictly prohibited. The Retreat is for guests use only. The tariff quoted for the Retreat is for Guests only, extra charges will apply per person if extra persons use the facilities or stay on any night.
Servicing - Boathouse - Birks Harbour is self catering and does not include daily servicing unless otherwise specified. For stays of 4 nights or more a full service is available if requested at a mutual time to suit.
Pets - Under no circumstances Boathouse - Birks River Retreat can not accommodate pets.
Discounts - Discounts are available for longer stays.
Children cannot be accommodated at the Retreat unless done so with prior approval.
Smoking - Boathouse - Luxury Retreat is a smoke free zone. Penalties will apply for smoking inside the Retreat.
Privacy - Boathouse - Luxury Retreat is for guests only. The Retreat must be left in a clean and tidy condition and extra charges will apply for any excess cleaning. Damaged items will be charged at replacement value.
